Dag in de Branding
Hosted by: Festival Dag in de Branding
For their 62nd edition, Dag in de Branding presents a concert by harpist Doriene Marselje and hosts a dinner at The Grey Space.
Following in the footsteps of pioneers such as Luciano Berio and John Cage, she aims to broaden the possibilities of the instrument and renew performance practice. The audience takes its place among the lights and allows itself to be carried away in this enchanting experience. Marselje links the compositions she selected for this program by composers Lo Shi-Wei, Isang Yun, Piet-Jan Van Rossum, John Cage en Toru Takemitsu to her own electronic sketches.
Single tickets for Doriene Marselje as well as a passe-partout for all Dag in de Branding events and locations are available via the links below. Before the concert in The Grey Space, Dag in de Branding hosts a dinner. You can make a reservation by purchasing a dinner voucher.
Dag in de Branding has become one of the leading platforms for new music in the Netherlands. Dag in de Branding organizes four programs a year, during which concerts are staged at locations all across The Hague. The festival showcases the latest developments in classical and improvised music, in music theatre, jazz, pop, as well as in opera and electronic music.
Edition 62 of the festival sees the world premiere of an opera by composer Meriç Artaç, which concludes her artist-in-residence at Dag in de Branding. This edition also includes a collaboration between the Residentie Orkest and Slagwerk Den Haag, who present a new work by Richard Rijnvos.
