The Grey Space presents a platform for new talents to perform within our space. This edition features artists with an indie background, who are exploring their sound and creativity in a new, alternative setting.
19:00 – Walk-in
20:00 – Start performances by Poodle, Avery Strayer & Chet
Jangly, not-so-nuanced guitar tunes with a hefty mix of percussion: five-piece band Poodle delivers danceable, fluffy garage pop with a strong dose of energy, humor, and quirkiness that keeps every foot moving. Expect a cheerful chaos that keeps things lighthearted for both the band and the audience. Think Hinds, Wet Leg, Parquet Courts, Sports Team, and Iguana Death Cult.
Avery Strayer exists in the liminal. Never totally here, or there.
Endlessly morphing and shifting shapes. There is a lack of home or sense of belonging.
There is a hope to have an anchor.
With this project, Avery Strayer expresses and explores the deepest fears, pains, hopes, and ruminations that emerge through lived contradictions, interactions, and reactions. They bring together textured electronic sounds and acoustic instrumentation to create sonic landscapes that host haunted, fragile vocalizations.
CHET (full name: Chet Jonas Moerland) is a Dutch-language singer-songwriter who creates a blend of alternative and melancholic indie rock, inspired by artists such as Radiohead, Eefje de Visser, Jeff Buckley, and Courtney Barnett.
In early 2025, he released his debut EP, Wat Als, followed exactly one year later by his second EP, In Mijn Hoofd.
Through his melodic indie rock, he explores both personal struggles and social themes, delivering music that makes staying quiet or sitting still impossible.
