Open Space: Try-out

Choreographer Amparo González Sola presents a first version of the dance performance La Conspiración de las Formas (The Conspiracy of Forms) as part of her Open Space residency at The Grey Space.
La Conspiración de las Formas is a dance performance and political manifest. It investigates the radical relationship between human and matter. In doing so, Sola wants to provoke thinking about the transformation of stagnant social systems using a block of concrete as a metaphor.
During the performance, we see three women and this concrete block. They hold the block, hammer it, knead it, rub it, swallow it, transform it into something else. We watch closely and are slowly drawn into the ritual, immersed in the sound, touched by the dust.
After the performance there will be an artist talk with Amparo González Sola, led by theater historian dr. Marijn de Langen.
