default den haag returns to our basement for the fourth edition of their sound series, creating space and time for six innovative listening concerts.
For this edition, default follows the concept of the Sunday matinée with performances by Jung An Tagen (AT) & Eric Frye (USA), Marija Rasa (LT/BE), busf (NL), and a rare performance by Tokyo-based artist Nozomu Matsumoto.
Performances include dissociative computer music, off-grid rhythms, obscured voices, clinical emotions and delicate, fragile soundscapes for the digital age. The evocative sounds of the artists-to-perform offer artistic expressions of novelty, playfulness or care, with some of them embodying reflective, sonic commentaries on current states of our technologically enhanced society.
This event also includes a Dinner Session, carefully put together by Trang Hà and Jelle van den Brink, with an accompanying DJ-set by Yunque.
