Returning to the venue with an international triple bill, default den haag presents its second installment of 2024, offering a diverse and captivating program.
default #14 hosts multiple performances. First is a special duo performance by Belgian improvisers Lukas De Clerck & Suzan Peeters featuring the Aulos (the ancient Greek double reed instrument) and extended accordion.
Up next is a ‘task-based’ unamplified performance by Palermo-born, London-based musician Luciano Maggiore, with a focus on the performativity of the musical act.
Lastly, the influential Japanese instrumentalist and composer Taku Sugimoto (JP), known for his refined improvisation and just intonation compositions, focuses on the performativity of the musical act, as well as restrained guitar minimalism.
