Scenius: MONO MOB1LE

This week’s Scenius club night is presented by Rotterdam-based emergent concept MONO MOB1LE. Landing from a fascination for syncopated drum patterns and ecstatic hypnotism, Frederique Pisuisse, aka snailaway is dedicated to bringing sweat and joy to the dance floor. Adding to the lineup is Dey.Rey, talented DJ from Rotterdam known for her diverse music style influenced by genres like Drum & Bass, Baile Funk, Techno, Club Jersey, and beyond.
MOB1LE was formed by forces that came out of the old club MONO in Rotterdam, with a dual purpose of preserving its essence within the local scene and exporting its unique atmosphere and surprising sound to other cities and venues. They bring playful and ever-changing lineups that showcase upcoming local talents alongside established names.

The weekly club concept is inspired by the term scenius with which Brian Eno describes the creative intelligence of a community. A myriad of music initiatives with an interest in community building are offered a three-month residency, inviting them to expand their scene. Scenius aims to be an accessible and eclectic club experience where you can hang out, listen and dance.
