default #18
Hosted by default den haag
On Saturday, 16th of November, the sound series returns to The Grey Space in The Middle, celebrating the special occasion of their two-year anniversary. The event will feature performances by Tzu Ni, Nick Klein & Makoto Oshiro, as well as lll人 (Daichi Yoshikawa, Paul Abbott, Seymour Wright).
Tzu Ni’s work finds poetic connections between spatial and sonic installations, field recordings, object acoustics, and computer-generated noises, exploring the relationships between “space to sound, sound to body, body to machine, machine to poetry, poetry to space.”
Nick Klein & Makoto Oshiro will present a dynamic and physical collaboration, featuring Oshiro’s self-built acoustic machines, self-oscillating amps, and radio transmitters, interacting with Klein’s synths in a reciprocal system.
The trio lll人 (pronounced /el/), consisting of Daichi Yoshikawa, Paul Abbott, and Seymour Wright, offers a performance style that is dense and extreme, yet detailed and precise. ‘With lll人, the tools are familiar, the listening is not.’
The event will include free talks by Nick Klein & Makoto Oshiro and Paul Abbott at the Central Library the day before the performances.
The Grey Space opens at 19.30
