Presented by Crossing Borders
Crossing Borders kicks off its festival at The Grey Space with an interdisciplinary program focused on exciting literature.
Exploring and expanding the boundaries of literature can take many forms, and this night is set to do just that. With recitals, art installations, podcasts, and more, it will be a dynamic celebration of literary creativity. Featuring over a dozen artists showcasing their work, the event promises to capture the diverse and captivating aspects that literature has to offer.
Comic creators George Adigete and Sai Rodrigues will discuss their work and representation in the industry. The event also features emerging talents in audio composition, including Richtje Reinsma, who presents her research on human skin through an interactive installation.
Author Anneleen van Offel will showcase her debut novel The Voice of Sulina in an audiovisual format, while poet-musician Iris Penning and creator Gery Mendes perform a piece inspired by Sophia Blyden’s poetry collection Floating. Noha Saré will deliver a raw, alternative R&B and electropop performance.
Moderated by Hasan Gök and Rachel Rumai Diaz, the event includes appearances by David Weel, Steff Geelen, and more. The final presentation of CROSSED will feature Mahat Arab, Vlinder Verouden, and others.
