Perpetual Beta [encounters in open space] – Maker Event #1
During the exhibition, each maker will have the opportunity to present an artistic research question to the public and invite them to contribute to the further development of the project.
Together with makers Carolien Teunisse, Sabrina Verhage and urban gardener Victor van Pieterson, we will explore the city centre of The Hague and look for fungi and lichens in the surroundings of The Grey Space. A walk that is not only informative, but also contributes to the project itself. After this walk, the makers will share their process by demonstrating the technical side of the project and answering questions from the public. Afterwards you can join for dinner (optional).
Victor van Pieterson is a gardener. Read more about his project and publication Het herbarium van de Schilderswijk – a botanical journey across the life of plants in a neighbourhood of The Hague – here.
Afterwards there will be a Lasagna Gardening Dinner Geosmine. A lasagna with earthly vegetables and a herbal green top layer served with fresh salad an bread from the Spinozahof.
Tickets include a city walk, the makers’ demonstration and the entrance to the exhibition. This programme is best experienced in combination with the dinner, however, the city walk and the makers’ demonstration can also be attended separately. Make your evening complete and make a reservation for dinner (costs €15.00) via: firstname.lastname@example.org or text or whatsapp us at +31684891750.
