During this edition of Grauzone’s art exhibition, artist Julia Kiryanova exhibits solo with her work titled ‘Dilating Arcana’ at The Grey Space.
This edition of GRAUKUNST headlines the solo exhibition of artist Julia Kiryanova titled ‘Dilating Arcana’. ‘Dilating Arcana’ regards an ultra personal reimagining of the renowned Tarot deck, envisioned and created by Julia. This exhibition is comprised of large-scale drawings and paintings, and also includes performances where the performers’ bodies are uniquely painted to coincide with the characters of specific cards.

Julia Kiryanova, originally from Kazakhstan, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Kiryanova is known for her paintings and performances using nude bodies and confronting vulnerability with sexuality. Freedom of expression, sensuality and boldness are the basis of all her works. Her performances show the beauty and cruelty of nudity.
GRAUKUNST has been a prominent part of Grauzone since 2014. It has grown into an international platform for emerging talent and renowned artists, in which over 50 national and international artists have participated, such as Genesis Breyer P Orridge, Tracey Emin, Alan Vega, Johan Tahon, Lee Ranaldo, Marrissa Nadler, Gemma Thomson, Nik Christensen, Theis Wendt, Filip Vervaet, Harold de Bree and Isabel Reitemeyer and many more.
GRAUKUNST is part of Grauzone, an international festival for music, film and art that takes place in The Hague. Besides Graukunst, The Grey Space also hosts various musical acts and other cultural activities on Friday and Saturday.
