For Club Hopping x Cultuurnacht 2026, artist, curator and DJ Berk Duygun transforms The Grey Space into a one-night multidisciplinary programme where contemporary art, underground nightlife, interactive technology and independent fashion merge into a single experience.
Presented by Royal Surfclub, our space will turn into a living environment where visitors can move between an interactive exhibition upstairs and an all-night club programme at the basement. Expect experimental games, playful and interactive art installations, independent sellers, and a carefully curated selection of artists connected to The Hague’s creative scene and international underground culture.
The exhibition brings together interactive works by Raz van Isaak, Cemre Kara, Esther de Bruin (Alyster) and Berk Duygun. Through experimental games, digital environments, sensory experiences and interactive inventions, these artists explore new ways of connecting people through play, technology and participation.
In our basement, Royal Surfclub will be presenting music by Lewie, Teach, Tyrone, BäRK ( Berk Duygun ) and SENAIDA — artists and curators connected to The Hague’s evolving nightlife ecosystem and international underground culture, moving between electronic music and experimental sound.
Alongside the exhibition and music programme, visitors can discover independent clothing and artist merchandise from Atelier Kos, Haagse Stadt Vogel and Royal Surfclub Merch, bringing fashion, design and the creative identity of the scene into the space.
For one night only, The Grey Space becomes a meeting point between exhibition, club, technology and community — a space to explore, play, discover and dance until morning.
Royal Surfclub is an interdisciplinary initiative operating at the intersection of electronic music, underground culture, and contemporary art. Founded by Berk Duygun – Bärk, Surfclub develops context-driven events and experimental formats that shift between nightlife, ritual, spatial intervention, and digital media. With roots in both artistic and curatorial practice, Surfclub continuously explores how environments shape experience — from high-pressure basement programs to site-responsive exhibitions and hybrid narratives. Past locations include Grey Space, PIP, and Weelde in The Hague, as well as Operator and Poing in Rotterdam, and Kiosk Radio in Brussels.
