This workshop invites you to slip sideways—into rhythms that stretch, loop and pause. With artist Ana Linhares we open a shared space to sense time differently: not as a line to follow, but as something lived, sensed, and negotiated together.
Crip and Queer experiences of time are already practiced in pauses, excesses, delays and refusals. What happens when we enter them collectively? When we stop keeping up and begin tuning in to what time does to us and between us?
Together, participants build and reshape a shared diagram—partly map, partly score, partly trace—thinking through, making and responding in the moment. Meaning emerges through relation, and time becomes something we test, bend, and reimagine as it happens.
There is no right way to take part. Come as you are: listen, drift, speak, rest, move, or step back. Follow your bodymind. Let time wander.
Ana Linhares lives and works in Utrecht, regularly taking part in projects in Portugal, the Netherlands and other countries. Recently their research interests have been extending from deconstruction of colonial narratives to archival practices on queer and crip relationships within a community or institution. For the last 4 years, Ana has been researching the intersections of Crip and Queer Temporalities, connecting narratives, archival practice and theory, history, Crip theory and Gender theory.
