Following a successful first edition at the Grote Kerk, The Mourning After returns on Sunday, November 9, 2025. The event is designed for young people (17–35) navigating grief and loss in all its forms. Grief can feel isolating, but attendees won’t face it alone. The Mourning After brings together music, stories, connection, and honest conversations in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether grieving, missing someone, or simply curious, participants can expect an afternoon of warmth, recognition, and lightness. A gathering to remember.

About

The Mourning aims to break the taboo around grief and loss among young people aged 17 to 35, starting in The Hague. Through creative, light-hearted, and accessible initiatives, the foundation opens up the conversation about this still sensitive topic.
