Test Grounds

Thu 5 June

Free

Hosted by The Grey Space

For experiments, beginnings, and everything still taking shape.

Once a month, The Grey Space sets the stage for Test Grounds. Test Grounds are our walk-in-hours for ideas still in progress. Everybody is welcome to come and pitch a project or an event. We select ideas that are in tune with our values here at The Grey Space, so make sure you keep that in mind. We supply extra support with shaping an event for anyone below the age of 27.

Walk in with a concept, a question, or just curiosity between 16.00–19.00hrs. We are here to think with you, challenge you, and help make things real.

At The Grey Space, we believe in giving young makers and/or organizers the space to try and to fail. But we also want them to succeed, to explore, and to shape new ideas that might not have a name yet. In a time where experimentation is increasingly under pressure, we aim to support those creating new programs, cultural events, and vague but vital concepts. Test Grounds is our way of enhancing community building and opening up space for what’s still undefined.

Apply for support

You can propose your own project and shape it with us.

If you’re under 27, ideas receive extra support through:

  • reduced space rates
  • a session with our production team
  • a session on strategy + storytelling
  • three meetings with our trailblazer: start / mid / reflect

For more information about the application process, come down to our event and we will answer all of your questions!
