Project4Equality – Feminist Exhibition 2.0

Sat 17 February
14.00–21.00
€7,00

Presented by Project4Equality

The feminist exhibition 2.0 by Project4Equality explores the multidimensional and intersectional identities of feminists, through several mediums like photography, film, textile, collage, spoken word and music.

“We are Project4Equality, a feminist group based in The Hague. Our aim is to create a space for feminist activism, where we support each other in planning and executing ideas and projects that share the purpose of equality and fighting sexism. We understand this community as an intersectional feminist movement. People experience different barriers depending on the facettes of their identity. Gender, race, sexual orientation, class, religion, and physical ability affect the way a person experiences oppression and discrimination. We see the depth and impact of inequalities and the relationships between them in any given context. Considering these premises, we aim to make feminism accessible to everyone, moving beyond the big-scale protests and creating a feminism that we can apply in our daily lives, changing our behaviours and attitudes, smashing the patriarchy from the roots.”

Program

“Feminism is unique and personal to each individual. Feminism is understood as an identity which intersects with several other identity markers like queerness, gender, race, class etc. The feminist exhibition 2.0 explores the multidimensional and intersectional identities of feminists, through several mediums like photography, film, textile, collage and music.”

“As part of the exhibition, a space is created for spoken word artists, musicians, and poets to share their stories in the form of an Open Mic. The aim is to stimulate, empower, and encourage the community and to share ideas. Any topic is welcome in this open and welcoming environment. No registration is needed beforehand.”
