For the past six months, Oscar van Leest has been deeply engaged in the development of Apparatus: an open-ended, multidisciplinary project in which movement, space, and sound engage in a complex exchange.

At the core of this work are wearable instruments he has designed, capable of measuring spatial and kinetic data through integrated sensors. This data is then translated into sound using both hardware and software systems.

During the research week, van Leest collaborates with performers to explore various setups, choreographies, and approaches to improvisation.

The findings from this collaborative process are shaped into a performance, which will be presented to the public at the end of the week.
