Graukunst: Tense

Wed 15 June
→ Sun 19 June
Free Entrance

Hosted by Grauzone

Besides an extensive music program, the ninth edition of Grauzone will feature the Graukunst exhibition ‘Tense’ with works by: Susanna Inglada, Mette Sterre, Fabian Landewee, Julia Kiryanova, Eva Giolo and Dóra Benyó.

“Tension can be found in music, visual art, performance and all kinds of art forms that trigger an emotion, but also surprise you, amaze you or make you uncomfortable. With Graukunst and the festival we’re always looking for tension in different music forms, where atonal tones create a field of tension, be it with music or visual art. With the ‘Tense’ exhibition we want to highlight, zoom in on this feeling of tension. The exhibition features work of six young international artists.”

“The Graukunst exhibition is a prominent part of Grauzone Festival since 2014. It has grown into an international platform for emerging talent and renowned artists, in which more than 50 national and international artists have participated such as Genesis Breyer P Orridge, Tracey Emin, Alan Vega, Johan Tahon, Lee Ranaldo, Marrissa Nadler, Gemma Thomson, Nik Christensen, Theis Wendt, Filip Vervaet, Harold de Bree and Isabel Reitemeyer and many more.”
