Dinner Session: Inari + KI/IP
Another week, another dinner session. Join us for an inspiring evening carefully balancing delicious food and pleasant tunes into the night.
Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.
This Sunday’s Dinner Session there is a familiar face in the kitchen as Inari returns once again. KI/IP is responsible for the tunes.
Inari will cook a Ma-po Nasu tofu with rice and Namul and serve Annin Tofu for dessert.
During dinner you will get some inside information about EROI, an energy drink developed by Inari made from the from invasive Japanese knotweed.
- Doors open at 16.00, Dinner Session starts at 18.30.
- Payment at the bar (pin only).
- Students get 20% discount on the drink menu.

Inari (Yoshinari Nishiki) is an artist based in Rotterdam. His work explores the entanglement of economics and ecology, with a recent focus on invasive species (IS). For Inari, IS poses a mode of existence of resource that is abundant in this ever finite era. For example, he made the energy drink EROI from Japanese knotweed. By collaborating with water management companies and a nature conservation organisation within the NL, he sourced what he calls “unpolluted strains” which is the main ingredient of the drink.
Inari is familiar face at The Grey Space as he was an artist-in-residence, has previously hosted Dinner Sessions and released his invasive Japanese knotweed based energy drink, EROI at The Grey Space.
KI/IP is an elektro/ghetto DJ based in The Hague. While he started DJing for fun in his studio, he steadily grew as an artist and played at numerous house parties and raves. Expect crunchy breakbeats with electronic sounds and dirty rap lyrics. Albeit slightly more downtempo for this contect.
