For this Wednesday’s Dinner Session: a delicious two course vegan Caribbean dinner by none other than guest chef Hubert de Meij (Sunshine on a Plate) and tunes by Human Nature DJ & Nas Hosen.

Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.

For main you will get black eyed peas and coconut steamed cake with pumpkin creme, garlic roasted eggplant, fennel in herbal marinade & mini cucumbers. And for dessert a red velvet and white chocolate cake with avocado mousse, red chili syrup and cape berries. All vegan and all delicious!

Hubert de Meij

Originating from his love for the Caribbean and other international cuisines Hubert started his pop-up restaurant Sunshine On A Plate, at which he cooks the most delicious vegan, healthy and sustainable dishes. To quote Hubert: “Vegetarian and Vegan food ideas and recipes without meat don’t have to be boring! No diets, just healthy eating, sunshine on a plate.”

Human Nature DJ & Nas Hosen

Behind the decks are Human Nature DJ & Nas Hosen to provide the night with a musical outline. Both know their way around The Grey Space and will for sure make you move after dinner with their funky tunes.

Visual Storytellers Opening Event

On the same evening the ‘Visual Storytellers: Filling In What Was Left Out’ will be opened with an artist talk hosted by Nike Ayinla (Orisun).
