Beyond the Brackets presents: Basement Sessions #1

Sat 10 May
20.00—02.00
€7,50—€15,00

Organised by The Grey Space

Join us in a 6-hour journey of hypnotic and underground rhythms, from house to techno.

The music will range from organic house to industrial techno and is designed to be an auditory, visual, and other sensory trip that one should follow from start to finish for a full dancing session. The hypnotic underground narrative is the main aspect of our evening, while pushing people to experience new rhythms and innovative Middle Eastern sounds.
Line-up

Starting from 9pm, the basement will welcome you, where DIO will be playing until midnight. A the Hague-based artist originally from Beirut/Lebanon, where he developed his music and became internationally known as the ambassador of Beirut’s underground scene.

He is primarily sharing his music as an auditory manifestation of the unwavering resilience of his people, and any other person that has ever felt oppressed anywhere, through organic grooves and psychedelic rhythms unheard before in the city.

From midnight until 2am, Dixi Pix will be playing. Originally from the Hague, he is a queer DJ bringing his own personal touch and shares his story through his underground upbeat music.
Art

Balázs Milánik presents a basement installation exploring the clash between artificial machinery and the raw, kinetic energy of the human crowd within tight, high-intensity spaces like the dance floor.

Door policy
Door policy: stickers on flashes. We strongly discourage people to take pictures and videos to preserve the freedom of our space. An awareness team will be ready as the party is designed to welcome everyone, in a kind and caring spirit.

Come join us, let your feet hit the ground, and lose yourself in the journey with an open mind.
