In dance, a practice that exists only in the moment of its creation, artists navigate the paradox of presentation. What the audience sees is the staged performance, yet behind it lies a quieter space of process and experimentation: the studio, where ideas, textures, and movements are explored and transformed. During their residency, The Hague based dancers and choreographers Simon Bus and Alesya Dobysh investigate how these research processes can be shared with the audience.

Drawing on past explorations and experiments, the artists will revisit and attempt to document and archive their embodied practice. The project invites audiences into the working space throughout the residency and culminates in a final presentation on October 29th.

Residency: October 20 – 29
Open Studio for Visitors: 14:00 – 17:00 on October 23, 24, 27, and 28
Presentation: October 29, time to be confirmed
