Kluster5 + Remy Alexander – re;make

Thu 7 March
20.00–21.30
€7,50–€15,00

Presented by Kluster5

An exciting exploration of composed new music influenced by electronic, hip hop, R&B and dance. Live music is interrupted in front of the audience by the Remy Alexander, and together with Kluster5 they perform, improvise, arrange, combine sounds and create new remixes.

Composer Remy Alexander collaborates with the ensemble Kluster5 to craft new pieces that lead multiple lives. Acoustic compositions were recorded, mixed, and subsequently flipped upside down. This approach not only provides the material with fresh vantage points but also underscores the importance that concerts can be more than merely reproducing the recordings. Alexander opts for diverse ways in which the music can be presented live. The outcome is a kaleidoscopic collection of dreamy new compositions and their electronic shadow prints.

Consisting of Martin van Hees (guitars), João Brito (percussion), Daan van Koppen (saxophones), Isa Goldschmeding (violin) and Tim Sabel (piano).
