Presented by de-Haunted Collective
Throughout the evening, guests, speakers, and participating artists are invited to collectively reflect on the question of: what kinds of re-Membering processes allow us to relate phantoms.
Talking Phantoms aims to open a conversation between presenters and visiting visual artists, designers, and other researchers about different approaches to Hauntology. For this talk, three speakers are invited: Marieke Peeters, Petrică Mogoș, and Anouk van Wijk.
Marieke Peeters crafts immersive installations, sculptures, and films, blending material exploration with performance, reimagining tableaux vivant and horror to explore an unstable social reality. Petrică Mogoșis a Romanian writer, researcher, and founder of various editorial projects, using contemporary ideas as valuable tools for a more livable future. Anouk van Wijk’s work explores other-than-human relations through tactile matters, charming critters, and the grotesque.
