HOOGTIJ #70
Hosted by The Grey Space as part of HOOGTIJ #70
The Grey Space is part of HOOGTIJ, opening its doors for the public to experience Studio Dull, the project of Open Space artist-in-residence Constant Dullaart.
For HOOGTIJ #70, The Grey Space invites the public to a special broadcast recorded by Constant Dullaart, in his broadcasting station ‘Studio Dull’. This broadcast will loop continuously throughout the evening, so the installation at The Grey Space can be visited at any point during the evening.
Artist Constant Dullaart is the current Open Space resident at The Grey Space, where he initiates new work and exchanges knowledge around his artistic research into the authorship hidden in protocols, systems, and tools. Until December 18th, part of The Grey Space has been transformed into the broadcasting station ‘Studio Dull’. In a world increasingly dictated by data systems, Studio Dull questions to what extent a user can still act independently. Are we caged by technology or set free? The residency is open to the public.
During HOOGTIJ #70, the installation ‘Studio Dull’ broadcasts a special publication created Constant Dullaart for the event.
HOOGTIJ, a contemporary art tour in The Hague, is organized by the Haagse Rondgang Foundation. The 23rd of September is its 70th edition, as the event happens four times a year since its start in 1998. During this evening, guests can visit several art locations in the city center of The Hague.
Like the other editions, The 70th edition of the event leads her visitors from white cube to underground; from established art in galleries and institutions to more experimental installations and performances at the artists’ initiatives.
Free entry.
The Grey Space opens at 17.00.
The Grey Space closes at 01.00
