The Grey Space is looking for a passionate and creative Youth Programme Trailblazer (Kwartiermaker in Dutch) to scout and guide new initiatives for and by young people at The Grey Space.
The Grey Space distinguishes itself through a process-oriented approach in which experimentation, openness, and ‘the not knowing’ are encouraged. This leads to several programs taking place weekly, each with a different nature, often connected to or intertwined with each other. This requires our team to be flexible and collaborative.
As Trailblazer Youth Program, you are responsible for further developing program at The Grey Space with an emphasis on initiatives for and by people under 27 years old. You will act as a catalyst and connector of new cultural initiatives within the inclusive and experimental programming of The Grey Space. In line with the mission of The Grey Space, you will actively work to strengthen youth culture in The Hague by scouting local talent and establishing new collaborations with other initiatives in the city (in collaboration with the Head of Program).
• Scout and engage emerging talent and experimental platforms to create new programs at The Grey Space;
• Foster collaborations with other cultural initiatives in The Hague to expand networks and opportunities for youth;
• Build and maintain relationships with partners in the music and culture sectors to strengthen community connections;
• Represent The Grey Space in the broader music and youth culture scene, both locally and regionally.
• You are a dynamic and proactive individual with a passion for culture, especially in music and youth culture in The Hague;
• You have a good sense for scouting and engaging emerging talent, particularly from underrepresented communities;
• You have the ability to connect and collaborate with diverse cultural and creative initiatives;
• You are a strong communicator with skills in networking and relationship-building;
• You feel connected to the mission and vision of The Grey Space;
• You live in (or around) The Hague;
• You have no problem communicating in English;
• You are no older than 26.
