Scenius: MONO MOB1LE

This edition of our weekly club concept based on community building is presented by MONO MOB1LE, bringing versatile artist Fatima Ferrari together with energetic DJ-producer-vocalist Eurowitch.
MOB1LE was formed by forces that came out of the old club MONO in Rotterdam, with a dual purpose of preserving its essence within the local scene and exporting its unique atmosphere and surprising sound to other cities and venues. They bring playful and ever-changing lineups that showcase upcoming local talents alongside established names.
In her sets, Fatima Ferrari skillfully recontextualizes Middle Eastern motifs with baile funk, dancehall, vogue, Jersey, and Baltimore club, weaving in familiar vocals and instrumentals with the percussive qualities of her collected influences. Meanwhile, Eurowitch’s work is focused on representing the Queer community in the urban club music scene while remaining true to the roots of reggaeton.

The weekly club concept is inspired by the term scenius with which Brian Eno describes the creative intelligence of a community. A myriad of music initiatives with an interest in community building are offered a three-month residency, inviting them to expand their scene. Scenius aims to be an accessible and eclectic club experience where you can hang out, listen and dance.
