Dinner Session: Iris Uffen & Daan Blom + ARYNA
Another week, another dinner session. Join us for an inspiring evening carefully balancing delicious food and pleasant tunes.
Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.
For this Sunday’s Dinner Session, Iris Uffen, a multi-skilled creator who loves to push her own boundaries, prepares dinner, accompanied by the tunes of the Moldovian ARYNA.
For this Dinner Session, Iris Uffen and Daan Blom cook a three course Mexican inspired menu. As a starter, they serve nachos with chipotle tomato and green chili salsa. For the main, they cook crispy black bean taquitos (from corn) with cilantro lime rice, pico de gallo, vegan cheese, and smokey sour cream. The dinner ends with a dessert of churros with cinnamon sugar and chocolate chili dip.
The entire menu is vegan and made without gluten, though it may contain traces.

Iris Uffen is a photographer, web designer, chef, and vegan chocolatier, the latter under the name of Poppi. As a perfect example of a jack-of-all-trades, Iris does not like to focus on one skill only and instead chooses to combine them. This Dinner Session is the fourth time that Iris cooks at The Grey Space. This time, Iris stands in the kitchen together with her life partner Daan Blom, a.k.a DJ D44N, who happens to be an all-rounder too, being both a chef and a musician. Iris’ menu is different every session, but always vegan and gluten-free.
Originally from Kishinev, Moldova, and currently based in Amsterdam, ARYNA is an I/M/D graduate from The KABK, The Hague. She is part of the Diasporave collective, a.k.a the electronic music scene within Moldovan diasporas. ARYNA’s sets connect the dots between the hypnotic Western sounds and the vibrant Moldovan-Romanian folklore, thus celebrating her roots in the Eastern European heritage.
