Dinner Session: Micah Westera + Conrad Soundsystem

Sun 11 September
17.00–23.00

Another week, another dinner session. Join us for an inspiring evening carefully balancing delicious food and pleasant tunes.

Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.

This Sunday’s Dinner Session vegan connoisseur Micah Westera (who you might know as Spawn of Seitan) prepares dinner, while the fine gents of Conrad Soundsystem are responsible for the tunes.

Menu

For starters Micah will be serving a stunning purple soup made with red cabbage and red onions, dressed with thyme, balsamic vinegar, apple and homemade cashew based crème fraîche. Following this you will find a Garden Pie. This vegan version of a traditional English shepherds pie is filled filled with lentils, roast vegetables, mushrooms and topped with mashed potatoes, this family favourite comfort classic is a must have if you’ve ever doubted English cuisine.

Price: €15

Micah Westera

Micah Westera is an independent multidisciplinary artist based in The Hague. Not letting the medium define his work, he has worked on (interactive) installations, film, theater, motion graphics, sound design, virtual reality, music. Technology, spacial interaction and the human mind are the driving curiosities behind his work.

And make sure you check his Instagram page Spawn of Seitan, where he shares delicious vegan good food.

Conrad Soundsystem

Conrad Soundsystem is David Lieffering and Hugo Eno, two talented brother-in-laws with a profound love for electronic music. Last June they released their first EP in collaboration with the upcoming Fish Tapes label. Their goal with Conrad Soundsystem is to discover, create and share mostly sample- and percussion-focussed clubmusic, inspired partially by the UK Jungle and Berlin rave scenes, while not being shy of some experiment with ambient, jazz, soul and disco in our dj-sets and productions. As long as it makes you move.
