Dinner Session: Hubert de Meij + Deirdre Direktor
Another week, another dinner session. Join us for an inspiring evening carefully balancing delicious food and pleasant tunes into the night.
Inspired by artist Gordon Matta-Clark’s restaurant FOOD, which existed in the 1970s in New York, The Grey Space invites people to come and cook affordable meals as an artistic and social expression during our weekly Dinner Sessions. DJs will guide the evening musically and make you dance after dinner.
For this Sunday’s Dinner Session: a delicious vegan French dinner by none other than guest chef Norbert de Meij (Sunshine on a Plate) and tunes by Deirdre Direktor.
Hubert will serve a three course vegan, French inspired menu. With a chef’s surprise for entree, a vegan potato and bacon cake with ratatouille as the main and a forest fruits and tarragon bavarois for dessert.
Price: €17

Originating from his love for the Caribbean and other international cuisines Hubert started his pop-up restaurant Sunshine On A Plate, at which he cooks the most delicious vegan, healthy and sustainable dishes. To quote Hubert: “Vegetarian and vegan food ideas and recipes without meat don’t have to be boring! No diets, just healthy eating, sunshine on a plate.”
Born in the United States but based in South Holland, Deirdre Direktor has merged the sounds of her diverse influences in her mixes, from the Florida electro-bass of her youth to Detroit techno/electro, NY leftfield cheekiness, UK Bass and West Coast Holland electro/techno. But, the motive is always a musical journey.
