default is excited to invite you to the 19th edition of Default Den Haag, taking place at The Grey Space on the 14th of December. The program will feature artists from diverse disciplines, each exploring different sound poetics.

Program

Zara Joan Miller works across film, poetry, and performance, using movement and sound to explore the rhythm of the body and blur the line between human and non-human nature.

Mette Edvardsen, a choreographer, will showcase material from “Livre d’images sans images,” a project with her daughter Iben, combining vinyl, paper, and live performance to evoke past voices and future moons.

Augustė Vickunaitė, from Vilnius’ DIY scene, layers recordings on reel-to-reel tape, blending found sounds, field recordings, and the glitches of decaying technology.

Tom Mudd will present work from his release “Guitar Cultures,” which explores digital synthesis through simulations of acoustic objects.
