Join Nice Flaps for a Spring edition of Life Drawing!
A floral still life/set will be created for a nude model to pose in. Artists of all levels and experiences are encouraged and welcome to participate. Drawing materials will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
Nice Flaps offers non-taught, experimental drawing events, typically featuring one or two models—mostly nude, sometimes in costume—either posing alone or interacting with props and sets. Collaborating with artists, institutions, and other artist-run spaces, they challenge the parameters of life drawing by exploring questions such as: What does it mean to draw from life? How can it influence daily perception of the world?
Their program extends beyond traditional life drawing, which focuses on technical training, instead fostering welcoming and inclusive spaces where both newcomers and experienced participants can engage in an artistic experience and share a collective moment with others.
Nice Flaps is an artist initiative formed with the unanimous aim to gather and observe together, to provide time to concentrate, to look, to be, without an outcome in mind other than contemplation itself.
Nice Flaps has been running since 2019 and is organised and curated by artists Annemarie Wadlow (UK) and Alejandra López Martínez (ES).
