[postponed] A Grey Space Weekend – Klankborden: Sonic Dining
Throughout A Grey Space Weekend you can book sonic dinner and lunch experiences. Klankborden is a project by Fedde ten Berge and Ildikó Horváth with guest chef Asli Hatipoglu. Limited spaces available!
A Grey Space Weekend is an adventurous and inspiring festival consisting of an extensive music program with live acts and DJs, an exhibition, a performative symposium, experience dinners and film screenings.
Driven by the belief that major tendencies in the world find common ground in the relationships between people, this edition of A Grey Space Weekend will focus on the concept of radical relationism. In the program we aim to stimulate unexpected encounters between the public, makers and thinkers with backgrounds in different disciplines.
Below you can find the different programs weaving together A Grey Space Weekend.
Klankborden was conceived by Fedde ten Berge and lldikó Horváth as an attempt to re-think how to enhance connectedness during everyday rituals by digital technology. The series of performative events explores alternative ways for social interactions at the dining table, with special attention to sound and listening. The project invites participants to listen closely and to recognize their influence on the aural environment.
All tableware items are crafted by hand and equipped with audio tools to facilitate a rich collection of sounds, based on the sonic input of tactile materials. The food is designed and prepared by food artist and researcher Asli Hatipoglu, in close collaboration with the artists.
