LeaderLemming brings us (often local) obscene and unseen bands. For this edition they’ve invited SOON, bringing you music that moves between spinning and dazzling sound eruptions, and piercing but elegant pulses.
SOON’s music moves between spinning and dazzling sound eruptions, and piercing but elegant pulses. With hints of hushed post-rock, captivating soundscapes and cinematic soundtracks, they make you both listen and move.
SOON is a project by guitarist Liú Mottes, known for her defining guitar playing in bands like Blue Crime and Slow Worries, and interdisciplinary sound artist Jochem van Tol. They draw inspiration from the likes of Dick Raaijmakers, Sonic Youth and Blade Runner. Armed with guitar, drums and (modular) synths they drew inspiration from each other. The results are exciting tapestries of sound, dynamic post-rock and addictive kraut.
Their debut album is out on 25/02/2022 as a gatefold vinyl release through Subroutine Records.
