Our grey, grey basement will fill up again with heat, sounds and spit again! ⚡ Doctor Cyclops is a seventies-style power trio performing heavy rock music inspired by a vintage sound. They’re like the eldest son of glorious Black Sabbath and of other more underground heroes from the 70’s and early 80’s. 👩‍🎤 Choco encounters a lot of different styles of music during their quest. Doom, metal, punkrock, popkraut, stoner, rock, electro, acid, tekno and off course Motorhead and ABBA. 👏🏻

Within the context of the exhibition, Eric Kluitenberg will do a presentation and host a panel with the artists in relation to his new publication ‘Locating ArtScience’.

Border Sessions | Waag Society’s Open Wetlab | DIY Human Enhancement Program

[questions human enhancement] Waag Society’s Open Wetlab presents three Do It Together Biology workshop sessions: ‘Our secret CRISPR Desires’, ‘Do It Yourself Human Enhancement Clinic’ and ‘Aliens in Green’ with outstanding artists, hackers and designers, thinkers and scientists. You can learn experience and create work in the lab together with the experiments in wet technology, DIY human enhancement and trans species communications.

Open Wetlab at Border Sessions is part of the Do It Yourself Human Enhancement program of Waag Society, Athena Institute – Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Arts & Genomics Centre – Leiden University, supported by NWO Kiem and the Creative Industries Fund NL.

CaDance Festival | 4×4 – The Fellowship of the Dance | The Future Devouring the Past

This year, the exciting 4×4 will be staged throughout the old town center, a dynamic urban district full of history, creativity, and entrepreneurship. A diverse group of choreographers and artists are invited to create performances for four special locations. At TGS Dimitri Nieuwenhuizen, Marijke Cobbenhagen, Lukáš Timulak, Ema Yuasa, Davidson Jaconello, Hector Salgado and LUSTlab developed the performance ‘The Future Devouring the Past’.
